Wolfdale School is an independent school specialising in the education of children with autistic spectrum and other associated conditions from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4.
As an alternative provider we have been successfully supporting children on the Autistic Spectrum and their families for the last three years. Our members of staff come from a range of educational and support backgrounds including qualified teachers, youth workers, HLTA's, sports coaches and qualified outdoor learning instructors.
“Our mission is to enable young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions to reach their full potential by building resilience and removing social and emotional barriers to educational achievement.”
“There is a wealth of research showing that there are strong links between the natural environment, emotional wellbeing, improved interpersonal, social skills and recovery from fatigued directed attention, all of which have a immediate and specific impact on the way a child on the Autistic Spectrum is able to process and react to the external world. By reducing environmental stressors the child is able to access learning in a more receptive state. Spending time outdoors also increases opportunities for play and deep level learning.”
